WANTED:  Social Media Marketing Assistant

Recently launched, www.BallooningNestEggs.com, is a digital start-up full of practical yet “out of the nest” ideas for close family to grow youngsters’ wealth and encourage them to dive into investing, entrepreneurship, charitable giving and economics.  It brings much-needed fun and imagination to these topics, making them relevant to kids’ lives (as well as yours). Our current site represents the first phase of many exciting things to come.

Our main goal now is to increase our traffic and build our brand.  We are looking for a Social Media Marketing assistant to perform the following responsibilities:

  • Daily social media maintenance, which includes:
    • Content posting on all social media properties (Facebook, Google +, Twitter)
    • Monitor feeds for relevant posts to reply to/retweet/share/comment
    • Help maintain follower list
    • Twitter introduction project  – duties include:
      • Find appropriate people to target
      • Schedule introduction tweets to identified targets
      • Track responses, thank and retweet when appropriate
      • Practice #FollowFriday and #ThankYouThursday
      • Assist with research on social media properties:
        • Google+
        • Pinterest
        • YouTube
        • LinkedIn
        • Assist with competitive market research



  • Tech-savvy
  • A working knowledge of Facebook and Twitter  (we will train on the technologies)
  • Ability to write well
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently as we all work remotely  (Social Media team is in northern NJ)


Hours/Pay:  Hours are flexible.  This is a part-time position, but this person could work full time as well. This person would take an equity stake in the company and at be paid (at least initially) in the form of options.
